Wishes for the coming year...
May the Sun shine bright on Life's winding path
To show us thorns and flowers
May He give us the strength to weed out
The thorns, and leisure to smell the flowers.
May the Earth bless our eyes with her beauty,
And our bodies with her green bounty.
May we tread soft on her fragile cloth
For, without her, we are naught.
May the Moon temper us with her sweet, soft light,
That we may not lose sight, even at night
May the stars always guide us from their heavenly homes
That we may never wander far, away from our homes
May the new year bring cheer all around
From the humble farmer to those who don the crown.
Happy New Year, everyone!

@Abhishek,
I was wondering who this was, until I saw NLP on your profile!
Thanks for the comment.

Wishes for the new year:- May the new year witness many, many blogs by Mrs. Parijata!
@Neela,
Thanks!
@Anon,
Thanks for the wishes... I will try to post more :)
prekshaa - is that the new member in your family?
we also have one - prajkta from Indore (pronounced praajaktaa = parijata !)
not so uncommon in marathi.
@Anon,
Prekshaa is a blog by Dr. R.Ganesh and his students about India and Indian culture. And yeah, it is like family :) More so, since one of the contributors named a new family member that.
Is Prajakta a new member of your family? If so, congrats!
Are you, by any chance, Aram?
Yes, this is Aram.
Yes, Prajkta is the lovely new addition bringing a fresh, fragrant breeze as indicated by her name which means the parijata flower.
Yes, I did realize that Prekshaa was the name of the blog, but by then the silly comment had already been posted.
Wonder what might be the name of your second one, but then "a rose by any other name...."
@Aram,
The name of the second one - roughly means one who speaks sweetly :)
Congrats to Prajkta - is she your daughter-in-law?

And my son stopped calling himself Biyadiya. Hence the name Sunshine.
Congrats to Prajkta - is she your daughter-in-law?
